INFORMATION FOR GUESTS: MEASURES TO CONTAIN THE SPREADOF THE COVID-19 VIRUS

In compliance with the Prime Minister Decree of March 4, 2020 art. 1 (Measures to combat and contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus throughout the country) and in agreement with the Autonomous Province of Trento, the War Museum is regularly open to the public.
Visitors are invited to follow comportment rules concerning basic hygiene practices for containing the spread of the virus and to maintain the minimum interpersonal distance of 1 meter during the visit. Access to some spaces may be reduced to avoid overcrowding.
School trips and educational activities are suspended until April 5, 2020 (unless otherwise specified). The schools that had planned a visit to the Museum are invited to take contact with our reservations office to reschedule the activities (0464 488041 – firstname.lastname@example.org).
Organized groups wishing to visit the Museum or who had already scheduled a visit are also invited to contact the reservation Office (0464 488041 – email@example.com).
For tourists, Visit Trentino has prepared a webpage with useful information for those who have booked or intend to book a trip in our Province.
Some of the scheduled events have been suspended. Visitors interested in participating at those activities are invited to stay tuned by consulting the calendar on the Museum’s website and social media.

ON FOOT: from Piazza Podestà go down Via della Terra and then Via Castelbarco (3 minutes). From Piazza Rosmini go down Via Orefici, then Via Rialto, Via della Terra and finally Via Castelbarco (10 minutes).
BY CAR: there are some indoor car parks a few minutes from the castle (in Via Lungo Leno Sinistro, Viale dei Colli and Via Manzoni), as well as outdoor car parks (Piazzale Achille Leoni). In Via delle Fosse there are some pay car parks.
BY COACH: Parking is only permitted in Piazza Podestà for loading and unloading. There are coach spaces in Via Lungo Leno Sinistro, Piazzale Achille Leoni and at the sports stadium. Only coaches with a height exceeding 3.8 metres may drop passengers off in Piazza Podestà.
BY BICYCLE: On the Valle dell’Adige Sud Bicycle Trail, head for Rovereto centre from the suburb of Borgo Sacco by following the yellow signs for the Leno n°2 cycle route (for info and map of the bicycle routes in Rovereto click here). Cross the wooden bridge over the River Leno and turn right into Piazza del Podestà, where there are bicycle racks. The castle can be reached on foot from Piazza del Podestà in one minute by going down Via della Terra and climbing the stairs of Via Castelbarco to the War Museum entrance.

The card gives free admission to museums, castles and other places of interest in Trento, Rovereto and the surrounding area.
It also gives you access to public transport and other offers and discounts. It is on sale at participating museums and in the Trento and Rovereto tourist offices.
It costs € 22 per person and is valid for 48 hours, extendable to three months without charge.

MUSEUM’S FREE AUDIO GUIDE
You can hear the history of the museum and castle and descriptions of the exhibition rooms on your smartphone or tablet by downloading a free application from the izi.TRAVEL website.

Groups of maximum 25/30 people. Entrance fee of 5,50 euros per person for adults, 2 euros for children aged 6-17 plus 80 euros per group for the guide.

In busy periods, the War Museum reserves the right to limit entry to groups who have not booked in advance. To avoid any inconvenience, groups are asked to organise their visit in advance calling the Secretary’s Office on 0464 488041.
