La Campana
dei Caduti The Bell of the Fallen
At the suggestion of a Rovereto priest, Fr.Antonio Rossaro, the Bell
was cast in 1924 using bronze from the cannons of all the nations
that participated in the Great War and even today this is the largest
bell in the world that rings full peal. Every evening the bell tolls
100 times in remembrance of the fallen of all wars as a warning for
future peace.

fields
Zugna , Pasubio and Monte Baldo all retain important remains of the
battles which was fought here for almost 4 years by the opposing forces.
They are the destination for many excursions. The fortified area at
Matassone and the fort at Pozzacchio, areas of bloody conflict, are
easily reached by car from Rovereto (15-20 mins).
