The duty of the Achive
of the Museum is to guarantee the collection, the conservation, the
organisation and the evaluation of all paper material (documents),
iconography (maps and plans), film and sound and also of memorabilia
of war, of the armies and of their equipment, of associated political
events, technological, economic and cultural innovations which occurred
during the period from the start of the modern era to the 21st century.
In the last twenty years, in association with the Museo Storico
of Trento, there has been a increase in collecting, conservation
and compiling inventories of personal testimony which is of local,
national and international interest. We also offer ourselves as
a point of contact for the organisation of exhibitions, for technical
and specialist studies, for research into all aspects of military
history .
The wealth of documentation, originally collected and catalogued
as an integral part of the library, is today available through various
foundations.
