During the nineties, after the preliminary studies and works of survey of the structure of the castle, the Department of Cultural assets of the Autonomous Province of Trento planned a project of restoration in order to allow a complete setting up of the expositions and a full exploitation of the architectural complex.
The first lot started in the autumn 2001 and was concluded in 2003.
Currently the works of the second lot concerning the building adjoining the castle are about to finish. From next months it will host the Museum offices, the box-office, the bookshop and a coffee shop.
In the next few years the works will concern the towers, the bastions and the spaces currently occupied by the Museum: at the end of the works the Museum will show a new arrangement. The works won't never interrupt entirely the visit. |
