First World War Artillery

In the air raid shelter dug out below the Castle in the 2nd World War, the Museum exhibits numerous pieces of Italian, Austro-Hungarian, German and English artillery from the First World War: mortars, howitzers, shells and cannons.
A Skoda 30,5 cm mortar from the Austro-Hungarian empire stands in Piazza Podestà. This is perhaps the last example of this particular type. There are also examples of munitions (grenades, fuses and cartridge cases) together with photographs and informative texts. This is one of the most complete themed exhibits to be found in Italy.
